Overview This is a moderate hike on generally good stable trail that winds through mesa's with good views and valleys. It is part of a larger system and network of trails that makes up the Ridgeline Open Space Park. This look covers the western part of the Ridgeline Open Space Park. However, parts can be muddy and soft if there is recent precipitation. It is wide enough for two people to pass. There is very little shade. Most of the vegetation is scrub oak through the valleys and prairie grass on the mesas. Also expect to see mountain bikers sharing the trail. There are views of the front range foothills and the neighborhoods making up the Meadows area of Castle Rock. Parking There is ample parking at Bison park
