The Corehouse Nature Reserve is on the opposite side of the river from New Lanark Heritage Village, and is worth exploring, however, it can be overgrown in places, so a good pair of boots is recommended. Peregrine Falcons nest/breed in the Gorge each year, so there will be a short diversionary route in place to protect the Birds while nesting.
