Beautiful, secluded beaches along the north fork American River. This North Fork corridor is zoned wild and scenic. A short: 1 1/2 miles down, but it's 1,800 feet back up to the trailhead. The trail is well maintained and consists of sixteen switchbacks. There is a pit toilet at the small parking area. Lots of rattlesnakes, poison oak and mosquitoes in the rocks around the river.
