Ljósufjöll is the name of a rhyolite formation in the middle of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. In the summer of 2006 a group of us did a very interesting hike from the closest access road on the South side, through the mountains and onwards to the North coast of the peninsula. Highly recommended (but requires two cars and some logistical manoeuvring!)
