A small group of friends went to do this route one sunny Sunday morning. Many of our Wikiloc colleagues have already uploaded versions of this route and some with very detailed descriptions. Most put it in the "Moderate" category. I am uploading the route we did to show some of the spectacular photos we took, and also to say that we would put it in the category of "Hard". The route starts at the Bermejales Dam and near the Scout Centre of Bermejales, and can be divided in two parts, the outward journey which is the most difficult, and the return along a country road. On the first part there are places where you have to use ropes (already in place) to climb or descend rocky gaps, there are somewhat unstable metal stairs, hanging bridges that really swing, slippy surfaces, and in some places the path is very narrow. This part of the route is not for those with any level of instability or vertigo. Where we climbed from the River Cacin up to the road (Camino de Navilla) is very dangerous in parts given the soft moving soil, and the big cracks in the surface. We recommend taking the longer road route to avoid this danger. Once all these challenges are overcome, the return by the road is easy if not a bit boring. The area of "los Tacos" (the Gorge) and the River Cacin provides us with beautiful views and photo opportunities. With reference to the "technical level", for the young it might be "moderate", or even "challenging and exciting", but for the not so young there are some very very difficult parts. At my age, I am happy to have done this route, taking lots of care and without taking too much risk. Out guide: Miguel Ángel Robles, Medusa ADN.
