Our morning paddle started under a full moon that rose on June 21, 2024, called the Strawberry Moon. It rose at 9:08 PM ET, was opposite the sun, and will appear full for about three days. Two birds were on the entire paddle, possibly due to hordes and mosquitoes filling the boat. Several enormous horse flies and the best paddling weather to date. While this is an easy paddle, I will label it moderate because whoever trims the mangroves lets the trimmings sink to the bottom, where they can block the trail at low water.
