Trying to hike to Nemrut Crater Lake halfway through April is not the easiest thing to do.
The taxi driver dropped us off somewhere along the main road where road was blocked by snow. From there is was pretty easy to climb the first 100 metres. After that the hike was an trial and error effort and to save you a lot of reading: we eventually used to cable car to navigate around the patches of snow and melting snow water. And… we made it!
So, if you plan to see Nemrut Crater mid April, don’t use this route, get yourself dropped as high as possible and navigate the cable car to navigate to the top.
