Descripción del itinerario
Short and nice hike with beautiful views. You start from the parking. First the trail takes you through sugar cane fields which goes into forest after a bit. There is a very slippery area (see waypoint) which seems to be always wet and slippery. It is not a very long piece, just maybe 50 meters. The trail is easy to follow and there are indicators (follow la classique). Sometimes you go through the lush vegetation and the trail becomes a bit small (but easily visible). The last part is a bit steep (i left my hiking pole behind to have my hands free). It does not take too long. It could be a bit windy and it is better not to do this if heights make you dizzy. I was lucky with the weather: not too much wind, no rain before and clear views. I reached the top within an hour and the whole hike (with lots of pics) took less than 2 hours with this nice weather. Amazing 360 ° views from the top! Please wear proper shoes and do not attempt if it rains or rained before. 2 liters of water should be enough depending on the heat. I did not see any monkeys, just 2 dogs at the startpoint on the way back (nice shy ones). I started 8.15 am and only saw 3 other hikers while going up. However on the way back i saw plenty of other hikers (friday morning).
