Descripción del itinerario
Wonderful circuit through pine forests, past the Green Loch, up 500+metres, and back again. Start by following the road to the right of the visitor centre. Take the road to the left just before the Reindeer Education Centre. Go past a few houses and take the right road at the junction. Walk along the gravel road till you reach the wood bench. The track continues straight ahead at the end of the road and is easy to follow till you reach The Green Loch. Look for the wood bench on one side of the loch with a poem engraved in the seat. Continue walking till you reach Ryvoan bothy. Have a look inside if it's open. The path ascends the hill next to the bothy. Take the path to the left as you approach the bothy. There is a substantial climb on a well-formed track, initially a gradual steady climb, then a steep section with excellent stone steps. As you climb higher, the vegetation becomes low heather and gorse, and the views become more expansive. The path becomes a clearly defined gravel path leading up to a cairn, which has been piled into a moon shape, providing some shelter from the prevailing wind. Wonderful views from here. Then, back down.into the pinewoods
