Descripción del itinerario
The trail starts initially with a nice walk through the wadi with larger boulders and beautiful rock formations.
There are number of caves through out the wadi section. At a point of wadi section, required to do a basic scramble with steep elevation gain to reach the village at the summit and there is no paved trail in this section. Surrounding views of the nearby mountains, RAK city and sea are amazing!
The descend from summit a faded donkey trail will be visible which is also very much steep to descend. While descend parking location will be visible.
Considering the basic scramble skill requirement and sudden ascend and descend with loose screes, this trail shall be considered as moderate plus.
Do not attempt this trail in the reverse direction as descend to wadi and scrambling down will be more challenging than climbing upwards.
There is a dirt road crossing in the wadi section and one can use this road if you want to avoid the scrambling and steep elevation gain. Which we have done before and please refer to my previous recording, elevation gain will be around 350m if you take this route.
Take good amount of water, snacks etc., proper hiking gears are needed ( pole, boot etc.,)
There might be GPS errors in the recording, please make your own study during the navigation.
