Descripción del itinerario

Illot de la galera a Portitxol beach.
I've started from Puro beach club one way to Portitxol beach.
The right time to do it is in the morning because especially during summer time the sia gets rough due to termal winds (S'Embat).

El Molinar (in Mallorcan Es Molinar, or simply Molinar) is a neighbourhood located in the Playa de Palma district of the city of Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

According to the official delimitation of the city council, it borders the neighbourhoods of Polígono de Levante, Son Malherido, Can Pere Antoni, Es Coll d'en Rabassa and Son Ferriol.[1] El Molinar is also known as El Molinar.

Etymology
The name El Molinar comes from the mills that were in the area at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century, which have now been demolished.

Geography
It is located 4 kilometres east[2] of the centre of the Balearic capital, next to the sea and around Portitxol (an old fishermen's neighbourhood that has been converted into a promenade) where the Barbara and Gros streams flow into the sea. It includes the urban centres of Portitxol, Primer Molinar, Rotlet, Segundo Molinar and ses Figueres Baixes.

History
The origins of El Molinar date back to the end of the 18th century, when it was still uninhabited and the chapel of San Onofre was built.
The neighbourhood emerged in the mid-19th century next to the flour mills[3] that existed in the area (now disappeared). It began with the nucleus of fishermen's houses of Portitxol, the Primer Molinar housing development and several estates, including Davall Terra and Can Pere Antoni.

The construction of gas and electricity factories and the Lluchmayor and Santañí road disfigured the character of the neighbourhood.

During the 1960s and 1970s, the population of the neighbourhood increased as a result of the arrival of workers, mainly from the south of Spain, and the construction of multi-family dwellings and flat estates.

The original Remedio chapel, founded in 1850, became a vicarage in 1890 and, after a new church was built in 1928, the Molinar parish church was built in 1934. The facilities of the Club Marítimo de Levante are located next to the Portitxol.
