Path can be a little rough. Definitely do able on 80mm wheels but I'd recommend 110mm. Drylaw Skatepark was a nice wee rest stop.

Limited time today. But a great skate all the same. Must check out more skateable towpaths from and around town
Park in Alvaston Park car park and head toward the river to join the Cycle path. Lovely and smooth with only a few folk about. Heading the other way up the river next time I visit.

Pásate a Wikiloc Premium Pásate a Premium para eliminar los anunciosUnion canal a bit of road if your feeling brave. Some rough paths from Linlithgow bridge back uphill to the canal. Aqua duct is scary.
Alvaston Park. Probably bestest place I’ve found to go for a traffic free skate. Follow a cycle path along the river Trent. Bit bobbly at the park but once on the cycle path is as smooth as butter.
Surfaces inconsistent and path a little narrow, not quite getting a full stride and almost stop every time you have to pass someone
Nice wide paths to rollerblade on, Just a shame it’s on a hill as the top and bottom are equally as good to rollerblade on but for the nightmare hill. This doable though.
Lovely fairly flat path to skate round two lakes. Roughly 1m around the two lakes or 1/2m the larger inner one.
Avoiding the current roadworks at Cadgers Brae. Stop at Beancross farm as the end is just to take me back to Polmont
Main car park shut so pretty much had the whole stadium perimeter to skate around. Large open areas to practise on and get the miles in. No idea why I hadn’t thought of here before.
Perfect place to practice, flat in places and also venture on the incline round the back which is also nice and wide. Two carpark. Local park or drive down to main stadium carpark - be careful of opening times as you wi...
This is skating on some of the new paths by the castle which go into the Raploch and Kildean Business park. Transitions across the roads are horrible but the new paths are lovely.
One of the best locations in the Falkirk area to skate. Smooth paths and you can do as many laps as you want!! There is a steep hill coming back down to the road though so watch out!!
Smooth, slightly rough and some really rough stuff but lovely route through the heart of Edinburgh. Can easily be extended by heading off some of the adjoining paths and go explore!!
All on main road with reasonable surfaces. Views were amazing, very little traffic and a "way out there feel" to the skating. The bit on the B road north to Daliburgh is lovely.
Adventure just about covers this!! There are ups, there are down's, some of the tar is rubbish whilst some is super smooth. All on single tracks roads so take car with passing cars.
This has been recently resurfaced and it is smooth as hell giving lovely skating. Kirkintilloch to Lennoxtown and back is approx 10k.
Park at the Denny Centre and one cycle path goes west whilst the other goes east. On the west path the tar becomes rough just after the M876 underpass.
This trail explores the northern end of the Helix park up around the Langees woods area. Fantastic tar throughout.
I have only ever done this trail at night so no idea what it is like in the day!! Lovely to skate in the dark though following the river.
Fantastic skate along the river side at Bo'ness past the Kenneil railway on some superb smooth tar. There is a 30m walk past the yacht club on gravel in the middle of the route.
Intermediate skate with some hills and rough surfaces. The route starts and finishes in Polmont because I live there. Check the picture to make it into a loop.
Cracking place to Rollerblade, some of the paths have been recently re-surfaced so really nice and smooth. Can be a bit busy around and towards the lake depending what time of day you go.
There is a car park at the bridge itself and then basically pick your path as they go off in all directions. Some are narrow with others are wider and the section around Camelon running track is superb.
